The University of Toronto Indigenous Tuition Grant provides grant funding to cover the tuition fees of registered full and part-time students in undergraduate, graduate or professional programs who are from one of the following nine First Nation communities whose territories include or are adjacent to U of T's campuses:
The Indigenous Tuition Grant will cover tuition fees only. Other fees (e.g., incidental) will not be funded and are the responsibility of the student.
Native American / Alaska Native Students Native American / Alaska Native students from a federally recognized tribe from the continental United States (in recognition of the Jay Treaty of 1794) paying international fees, may complete this form to be considered for domestic (Ontario-resident) tuition fees. The University Registrar’s Office will contact you for additional information and required supporting documentation. This change only impacts tuition fees, students remain an International student for all other purposes.
First Nations and Indigenous Students from Canada While the grant only applies to First Nations students from the nine identified communities, Indigenous students from across Canada may be considered for domestic (Ontario-resident) tuition fees by submitting a request for domestic (Ontario-resident) tuition fee billing.
