Your visit to U of T Mississauga during March Break 2024 (March 11 - 15) includes a presentation hosted by a member of our staff, a student-led campus tour, and a guided visit through our residences by Student Housing & Residence Life staff.

This time slot will feature a special session by the Black Access to Educational Excellence (BAEE@UTM) program, and a student panel, "Thriving at University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM)," prior to your guided campus tour.

Event details: Join us for an engaging lunch and panel featuring Black students from the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM). You will engage in student narratives about academic quality, institutional supports, opportunities, student life and their overall journey to/through undergraduate studies. By the end of this session, you will be made aware of the variables central to shaping and gauging your university experience. Our panelists will delve into their personal motivations for choosing these degree programs and highlight the numerous benefits and merits. Our discussion will illuminate how their educational journeys serve as powerful springboards for careers, future studies and goals. Our students are dynamic leaders and participate in organizations & clubs across the university. Eat, learn, ask questions, win prizes and meet current students.

About BAEE@UTM: The BAEE@UTM initiative provides prospective Black high school students with supports at UTM to assist them in their university decision-making process. Prospective Black students will be personally introduced to current UTM Black students, faculty, and a robust network of resources, dedicated to continually supporting them throughout their post-secondary studies. Learn more at uoft.me/utmbaee
