Preparing for University Math Program (PUMP) I is a six-week course designed for students to review high school-level math content and prepare for university math courses. PUMP Level I is ideal for students who seek a grounding in pre-calculus topics, for students engaged in studies outside the field of mathematics who want to become functionally literate in math, for students who wish to learn (or re-learn) high school pre-calculus, and/or any student intending to enrol in MAT135H or MAT133Y1. This course involves weekly online, synchronous lectures and tutorials and requires students to complete assessment activities. Note: A self-guided version of relevant PUMP topics will be provided to all incoming students that do not register for the course-based version that you can complete at your own pace. This is a not-for-credit course. Students can only register for one (1) PUMP course. Deadline to register: July 2, 2025, at 9 am EDT.
Registration for one free PUMP learning module (PUMP I or PUMP II) through Arrive Ready is only available for incoming first-year students in the Faculty of Arts & Science. All other interested students must register through the Department of Mathematics.
Registration is no longer available because the registration deadline has passed.
