Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 5:00 PM until 6:00 PMEastern Daylight Time UTC -04:00

utmONE offers for-credit first-year transition courses, open to all new UTM students. These courses are taught by faculty experts and support you as you develop foundational learning strategies and sharpen the academic skills that will set you up for success at university. With a maximum of 55 students per class and 28 students per tutorial, you'll get the opportunity to build meaningful and supportive relationships with your peers, your instructor and your TA. These courses are interactive and engaging and allow you to build an academic tool-kit while exploring topics important to the student experience like dealing with challenge and failure, planning for your future, building networks, connecting to the academic community, and reflecting on what it means to be a confident and successful learner. These courses are meant to provide you with the foundation you’ll need to navigate university from your first-year to graduation.
